During the early 70's
Terry moved to London, where he worked as a session
pianist for Columbia Records.
The London Pub rock scene was really happening at that
time and Terry played regular gigs at most of the
venues.
Unlike the Piano's in the recording studio's
(which were always tuned and well maintained) a good
many of the instruments he was asked to play in the pubs
and clubs
left a lot to be desired and getting a piano Tuner /
Technician at short notice often proved rather
difficult. To overcome this problem Terry decided to
learn how to Tune and Repair Piano's for himself.
Although Terry is still better known as someone who
plays the Piano for a living, being able to tune and
repair instruments makes him a complete Piano man.
